Moulsecoomb Brighton Bike Hub pop up bike maintenance & road safety giveaway – Thursday 18 January

On Thursday 18 January join us on the Moulsecoomb campus to learn how to maintain your bike and pick up some road safety information and free items to help you stay safe and seen when walking, cycling and wheeling around the city. 

 

Bike maintenance pop up with Brighton Bike Hub 

What? Brighton Bike Hub will be holding a pop-up bike repair workshop – bring your bike along and the volunteers will review any issues and guide you through how to maintain your bike and answer any queries you may have. Donations to the Bike Hub are gratefully received. They will also be bringing a small example selection of the refurbished bikes sold at the Bike Hub.  You can also find out more about the Bike Hub and opportunities to get involved, including volunteering.  

When? 12pm-2pm  

Where? Cockcroft quad, under the Bike Hub marquee (please wear appropriate clothing for the weather!)

 

Road safety stall and giveaway 

What? Road safety stall from Brighton and Hove City Council and giveaway from University of Brighton Sustainability Team. Drop by to find out how you can stay safe and seen when travelling in Brighton and Hove this winter, and enter the competition to win bike kit. Bike security marking will also be available so you can register your bike on the National Police-approved database.  

We have hi-visibility pack back covers, reflective snap-bands, stickers and snoods to give away (1 item per person) to students and staff who walk, cycle and wheel to campus to help you stay safe and visible on your journey.
