If you require funding to support your travel to and from University, you can access a limited number of free bus tickets from the Student Information Desks, and apply for further funding from the university’s Hardshship funds.

Transitional UB1 Support Scheme and free bus tickets 

For those students living close to the previous UB1 route (Old Steine to Falmer and Varley, via the Lewes Road), and had planned to use the bus and may experience financial difficulties as a result of the bus no longer running, the Transitional UB1 Support Scheme has been put in place.

For those of you who would have used the UB1 route and have immediate travel issues, our Student Information Desks hold a limited supply of free single use bus tickets.

Hardship funding
