Train strikes 13 December to 7 January 2023
Please be aware that some national and local rail services will be unavailable due to recently announced industrial action. This means there will be no trains serving Moulsecoomb, Falmer or Eastbourne on these strike days in December and January therefore travel by rail only if absolutely necessary. This could also affect both your journeys home for the Christmas break and when returning for the new term in January.
Dates affected are:
- Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 December 2022
- Friday 16 and Saturday 17 December 2022
- Saturday 24 to Tuesday 27 December 2022
- Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 January 2023
- Friday 6 and Saturday 7 January 2023
Additionally, expect some disruption between 18 December and 2 January as some services maybe cancelled on the day.
We strongly advise you check with the transport provider before commiting to any rail travel.
Car parking and alternative travel arrangements
Students affected by these rail strikes planned between 13-16 December and 3-6 January, who do not have an E-Permit to park on campus, may apply for a temporary E-Permit valid for these dates only.
