Applications now open to study or work abroad in 2021-22 academic year
Applications are now open for the University of Brighton Turing Scheme, which can fund you for your overseas work or study placement in the 2021-2022 academic year.
The UK government has launched a new £100m Turing Scheme designed to offer global mobility opportunities for 35,000 UK students annually, and the University has been awarded funding to take part.
Eligibility
To qualify for funding, the mobility must be:
- Two weeks+ in duration
- with a recognised employer or educational host
All students are eligible, both undergraduate and postgraduate, and all nationalities.
Summer Opportunities
For 2021/2022, we are particularly looking for students who are undertaking overseas work or study placement in the summer vacation period. If you have secured a position, are in the process of applying, or just considering your options for the summer, get in touch and we can assist you with your search or your funding application.
Additional funding for disadvantaged students
Students who are recipients of University of Brighton bursaries, and those who qualify as disadvantaged students, are eligible for additional funding. This includes a contribution to travel costs to and from your destination country, and reimbursement for specific costs which are required for you to undertake your mobility, such as visas, passports and insurance.
2022/2023
At this point, we don’t have confirmation of funding for the academic year 2022/2023. Therefore we are not yet able to guarantee funding for work or study placements taking place as part of the 2022/2023 academic year. We hope to have updated information on this later in the spring.
