Artists Open Houses offer you the unique opportunity to visit artists in their homes and studios and to buy work directly from them. At various locations around Brighton and Hove.

Sanctuary for All online talk with Inderjit Bhogal OBE 8 December at 12 noon
A discussion with Inderjit Bhogal (OBE) on the origins and future of the Sanctuary movement, which aims to create a welcoming UK for people forced to flee their homes. In person attendance by prior reservation. View the event details (pdf)

Annual Choral Carol Concert 8 December 6-7pm
This Choral Carol Concert is organised between the Universities’ of Sussex and Brighton. As a precaution the event will this year be hosted on YouTube and will be posted on 8 December. Join the Facebook event here where you’ll get the YouTube link to view.

Christmas Wreath Making 8, 9 & 11 December, at various times

Eastbourne Christmas Market 17 – 20 December
Stop off at the Eastbourne Christmas Market after shopping in the city for a chance to feel very Christmassy. The market is fun for the whole family with lots of market stalls, live entertainment and fairground rides to enjoy.

A Christmas Musical Spectacular 21 December, 6:30pm
A festive concert for all the family featuring popular Christmastime songs and traditional carols performed by a cast of wonderful singers and musicians, with special guest appearances from some favourite pantomime characters, all at All Saints Church, Brighton.

Burning of the Clocks 21 December (CANCELLED as of 14 December 2021)
A unique Brighton traditional parade of local children holding crafted lanterns, which winds its way through Brighton town and along the seafront.

Free communal lunch for halls’ students Christmas Day (25 December)
The Residential Wellbeing Team are coordinating a free communal lunch on Christmas Day in each of the halls for students that are staying over the festive period.  If you would like to find out more and book your place, please email the Residential Wellbeing Team – reswellbeing@brighton.ac.uk before Wednesday 15^th December.
