I’ve gained a deeper understanding of architecture and design and developed my creativity as a designer and a person
Please tell us a bit about your work and your influences
My work is influenced by a number of architects and designers, some of my favourites are: Steven Holl, Theaster Gates, Max Lamb. I am inspired by their minimalistic approach to architectural design, which has influenced me in my work. Many of my pieces include curves and arches which give the designs a flow and an organic aesthetic.
How have you found your course and time at Brighton?
I have really enjoyed the course so far, it has allowed me to explore different elements of design in architecture. I’ve gained a deeper understanding of architecture and design and developed my creativity as a designer and a person. My time at Brighton has been exciting and vibrant which has allowed me to enjoy my studying.
How did you choose your course – why did you choose to study Architecture?
I have chosen to study architecture as property and designing has always been an area I’ve been interested in. I find working with certain briefs within projects to be interesting and pushes me to find design solutions which is very rewarding. I also like finding and exploring different methods and ways to be sustainable within design.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after I graduate with a degree are to hopefully find myself a job within architecture, that considers the environment and sustainability and hopefully from time to time will allow me to travel overseas.
