WOULD YOU STAY IF YOUR HOME BECAME A DESERT?

In the following years, my home town in the Mediterranean region would experience a drastic transformation with the warming of 2 degrees Celsius, according to the studies, with all of southern Spain becoming a desert.

By the middle of this century, experts estimate that climate change is likely to displace between 150 and 300 million people. If this group formed a country, it would be the fourth-largest in the world. Yet neither individual countries nor the global community is completely prepared to support a whole new class of “climate migrants.”

What will be the future for those who cant flee their homes?

These satellite images of the most vulnerable places have at its core the concerns for the climate crisis. The effects of our interactions with the environment are apparent on public satellites images. The project ambition is to share some understanding of the issues that are fuelling migration and the acknowledgement of your position of privilege as viewer.
