FOREST SHOOT REVIEW

My favourite part of these photos are the vibrant natural greens of the forest which compliments the 80’s style patterned shirt which the model is wearing. Inspired by Mehdi Sefrioui I feel I have successfully created a sense of freedom in nature in the second image, as I asked the model to let his hair down loose surrounded by the greenery. I like how his hair is covering his face, leaving the model unidentified, therefore more perhaps relatable to the audience. In the third photo the natural light is partly shining through the trees and onto the models face, a technique which I discovered in my last black and white shoot. Overall I am very happy with this shoot and its compositions.

FOREST SHOOT RESEARCH

Now on my third shoot, I am going to try push the boundaries a little more. These photos by Mehdi Sefrioui have inspired me to experiment with colour, forest settings and to use a male model (which I havent so far done). In this first image the empty space of woodland around the model creates a sense of freedom, the way the model is facing and taking in the natural sun gives a beautiful ambience. In the second image, I am inspired by the way in which the model is looking into the camera, his expression is blank and mysterious. Yet in contrast to his expression, his shirt is radiant and bold.
