Raising funds for free legal advice in Brighton
Well done to law academics, Jack Thompson, Jo Smith, Kate Fernandez and Gillian Keenan, who took part in the Brighton Legal Walk last Wednesday 11 September.
The team negotiated their way along the picturesque coastline, as part of the sponsored 10km walk, alongside other judges, lawyers and members of legal advice organisations to raise vital funds for the provision of free legal advice in Brighton.
They were also joined by some of our wonderful graduates on the day, Megan Macauley from Britton and Time Solicitors, and Courtney Pearce from Dean Wilson LLP, and completed the walk in an impressive 1 hour and 45 minutes!
Jack Thompson, course leader for our Law LLB said “The Legal Walk has become a highlight of the year for the Law Team. It’s a fantastic way for us to raise vital funds for local legal advice centres, while also bringing the team together just before the new academic year. The event also provides a wonderful opportunity to network with the local legal community and reconnect with our graduates, now thriving in law firms across the city.”
There’s still time to donate via our law team’s fundraising page.
