Today, I finished my second photo shoot for my project. I have started editing my images for this shoot which I am really happy with. My first images I styles my model in purple skirt and a bright red jumper and jacket. This was a last minute decision when I was ;preparing in the morning. Like I said in my sketchbook I started to feel a bit deflated and uninspired from scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest so much so instead I started looking through magazines. I found this image of a model in all red lifting her jumper. I really liked the images and I thought it could be an interesting pose for my model. I have always struggled with model directing so having inspiration ready has been really helpful. I thought this pose was different to what I have done previously so would stand out on my social media. I also thought it would show more elements to my styling.
Editing and testing
for the editing I really wanted to make the reds stand out as much as possible. I started using light room more for these edits and experimenting more on there. I found a mask tool where you can pick certain areas of the image and edit them separate. This was really helpful by allowing my to mask the red areas and brighten them up even more. In some images the lighting was very bright and as my model is pale the lighting the model became over exposed. I was able to fix a lot of these issues in editing.
