Recent photography graduate has exhibition as part of major Photoworks commission

Hannah O’Hara, who graduated from the University of Brighton in 2020, is showing From Nothing to Now at the Fleetwood Museum this month.

Hannah O’Hara was awarded this major co-commission to photograph the unique heritage of Fleetwood, its people, their stories, and their connection to place, as well as the fishing industry’s legacy in this town . Her work reflects the area’s strong and supportive worker and resident community, as well as their pride in this unique town. Hannah O’Hara is a Sussex-based artist with family roots in the Northwest. Her lens-based artistic practice investigates temporality, place and memory.  Hannah has had a meaningful experience spending time in Fleetwood, developing many relationships and creating this work. She shared that ‘my focus as an artist has been to immerse myself within the culture of Fleetwood and over the last year I have met and worked with so many kind individuals who have helped me develop this project and given their time freely and told their stories openly.’
