All out Wednesday-Friday this week

Our three-day strike starts tomorrow (Wednesday).

We have a legal mandate for industrial action and UCU expects all members to heed the strike call and to do no work for the University on those days.

Strike hardship pay from the national Fighting Fund will be available. Details can be found here.

Picketing

We will be picketing all campuses each day between 8am and 12pm. Please come and join a picket line if you can. The more visible our action is the more effective it will be. Students will be joining us. Wear a mask. We have hand sanitiser and disposable gloves for leafletting.

Virtual pickets

For those not able to come to the picket line, we will be holding a virtual picket on Zoom every day between 10am and 11am. This will enable us to connect with all our picket lines and welcome supporters and guests from other branches.
