News and events for University of Brighton students

Careers Fair 2014

This year’s Careers Fair was one of the best to date with even more employers and organisations at the event than ever before.

careeeersIt was a chance for you to explore your career options beyond university and an opportunity to network. Students could find out about work experience and summer internships as well as graduate schemes.

If the fair has inspired you to do some work experience, read all about how two of our graduates’ got on during their placements and find out what they’re up to now.

Enticing you with sweets and chocolate, there were business and organisations from every sector including the NHS, charities, media companies, marketing agencies, law firms, gap year companies, corporate blue chip companies and local businesses.

There were loads of employers around for you to talk to. And talk to them you did!

We had some brilliant feedback about our students; employers said that the students they spoke to were switched on and very friendly, adding that they’d be proud to have a University of Brighton student or graduate on their team.

Not only were employers and recruitment teams at the event, but some of our graduates callumkirkcame back to visit us too. Luke, Sophie and Callum all attended the Careers Fair whilst they were students and met their future employers at the event.

They’re now working for companies like L’Oreal and Toyota! Click here to find out how they got where they are now and what it was like for them to come back to Brighton.

There’s lots to gain from attending our annual Careers Fair, so if you missed it this year, make sure you don’t miss out next year.

In the meantime, the Careers Service has lots of helpful advice and a team ready and waiting to take your job related questions.
