Spotlight on Women Researchers: Showcase event (16 May)

Ever wanted a whistle-stop tour through research being carried out by just some of our talented women researchers?

Spotlight on Women Researchers: Showcase event, Monday 16 May, 6-7:30pm
Asa Briggs Lecture Theatre, Checkland Building, Falmer campus

This event is open to all students and staff and supports and celebrates the achievements of just some of our women researchers from a range of disciplines. It’s an outstanding chance to gain an insight into research careers. With a quick-fire format, each presenter has five minutes to talk about their research, their proudest achievement and what they wish they had known earlier in their career. After exhilarating glimpses into research, careers, challenges and achievements, there will be a question and answer session, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to talk informally with presenters and attendees.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in a research career; anyone interested in achievements and challenges faced by women researchers; anyone keen to pose a question or chat informally; and those with curious minds!

Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance.
