Day in the life of a student during COVID-19 lockdown

After a competition launched on Facebook to make a short film to present a day in the life during lockdown, we’re pleased to present the winning video.

Launched on our UoB Together Facebook group to support students during the pandemic lockdown, it brought together lots of helpful and fun content from both students and University support teams. Over the past three months we’ve seen posts featuring baking recipes, knitting, and fitness videos as well as support to maintain mental wellbeing.

For the short film, we wanted to see a student’s routine of a typical day which inluded any exercise regime whilst managing time to balance studies through remote learning, social contact and any hobbies.

Our judges awarded Amazon vouchers as a prize to Sarah-Louise Koessler, a final year student for BA Hons Fashion Design with Business Studies. Watch Sarah’s short film below as she balances her day with regular yoga, creating her fashion collection for her final year assignment with remote support from her course tutors, her love of sewing, plus a little help from some friendly neighbourhood cats.
