Could you be the next Student Employee of the Year?

Do you work part-time alongside your studies? You could be the next Student Employee of the Year!

The Student Employee of the Year Awards (SEOTY), now in their 15th year, celebrates the hard work and achievements of students who have jobs whilst they study. It’s not easy balancing assignments with working evenings and weekends, which is why the SEOTY Awards recognise those who have successfully combined the two.

This is a national competition, with awards at institutional, regional and national level. Just being nominated will look fantastic on your CV and help you to stand out when applying for jobs, as it shows that you are an outstanding employee.

Prizes for national winners include:

  • £100 cheques for each national student category winner
  • A trophy and framed certificate
  • An invitation to the national award ceremony and dinner
  • Plus the chance to be named Overall National Student Employee of the Year 2017!

All you need to do is let your employer know about the SEOTY Awards, and point them in the direction of this page for more information, whilst making sure that you take every opportunity to excel at work.

Last year, several of our students were nominated for the institutional awards. You can see some of the nominees and our three winners below, including Steven Salama, a computing student at the University, who also went on to win the national ‘Step Up to Leadership Award’:

If you think this could be you in 2017, visit www.nases.org.uk/seoty for further information and make sure you keep up to date with SEOTY on Twitter.

Nominations are now open and will close 19 April 2017.
