KIT LOANS DOs & DON’Ts

Equipment is loaned to you on the understanding that you are solely responsible for ensuring that it is returned in the exact condition in which it was loaned. The Equipment is not covered by the University’s insurance, therefore, should you lose or damage it, you will be liable for the cost of the repair or replacement. 

DO:

• Check/test equipment before you leave with it
• Always use and store the equipment safely and carefully
• Please return equipment on time
• Check the kit before you return it (do you have all the chargers/batteries/tripod plates etc.)
• Charge batteries and transfer footage/images from the memory card before returning
• Let us know if there is any problem or a technical issue with the equipment when you return it.

DON’T:

• Leave equipment unattended (including on campus)
• Leave equipment in the PhotoUnit unattended if staff members are busy or out of the office- always hand it directly to one of us to sign it back in for you.
• Give the equipment to anyone else to return on your behalf
• Keep the equipment past the return date without letting us know, always call or email us if there is a problem.
