The Photographic Service Unit Large Studio (Room 203)
The photography studio is located in Room 203 on the second floor of the main building at Grand Parade, room number 203, and is a resource for all students in the school, so it does get busy particularly towards deadlines. You can only make one booking at a time, either a full day or a half day. (10.00 until 5.00 or 10.00 until 1.00 and 2.00 until 5.00) You are advised to book well in advance as we operate on a first-come first-served basis. Please make sure you keep your booking or contact us to cancel as far in advance as possible as other students will be wanting to use it.
The studio comes fully equipped and ready to use and is booked on the basis that you will have technical support from the staff in the Photographic Service Unit.
Studio equipment:
- Bowens ‘high glide’ lighting system with approx 4 x 1000w flash heads and various attachments, reflectors, soft-boxes and snoots.
- Either Fuji GFX50S Medium Format mirrorless camera, Nikon Full Frame digital SLRs, Blagmagic Digital and 16mm movie cameras along with a range of other cameras are all available to use with various lenses.
- Large studio camera stand and a tripod.
- Apple iMac colour calibrated computer.
- 12’ Colourama backdrops in black and white.
Please note:
There is no food or drink allowed in the studios, except bottled water.
There is a maximum of 6 people allowed in the studio at any time.
