Supporting his grandad’s vision

Benji with his his grandadSeven year old Benji is walking the South Downs Way to raise vital funds to ensure the children of Malagiri continue to get an education.

Benji is the grandson of the late Kevin Fossey who set up the The School for Malagiri charity and was instrumental in the school dream becoming a reality.

Along with his mum Michelle, Benji is hoping to complete the 160km walk in August inspired by Grandad Kevin’s special project. Kevin enjoyed walking in the countryside and Benji has inherited his love of walking as well as his thoughtfulness.

Benji with his mumBenji has so far walked 54km in sun, wind and hours of pouring rain, completing the route from Eastbourne to Ditchling Beacon in three sections with a rest in-between.

Benji has so far raised over £100 of vital funds at a very difficult time for fundraising. Can you help Benji raise even more?

Seeing your messages of support and donations will add energy and encouragement for Benji and Michelle to keep going whatever the elements may bring. You can donate on their crowdfunding site.
