The second in a series of three events, today’s theme is:
Productivity: note taking, annotation, organisation, writing.

What is it?
App Swap Breakfasts are informal get-togethers for staff who own a device/s which supports mobile applications, otherwise known as ‘apps’ (on smartphones, tablets etc.). Each session will have a broad theme, allowing us to explore both new apps and for you to bring examples of your favourite apps to share with the group.
Your Hosts
Joyce and Fiona (new Learning Technologies Adviser based at Falmer) will be awaiting your company at Greynore; please come along if you can spare an hour – BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and BYI (Bring Your Ideas). There’ll be an iPad-iPhone focus but other devices are not discouraged or excluded.

I have been working in the Educational Technology field within Higher Education for eleven years. A big part of my job is finding new and innovative ways of integrating technology into current teaching and learning methodology. This can include assisting academic staff with Virtual Learning Environments/Learning Management Systems (Blackboard), implementing specific software packages, maximising current technologies and championing new ones. I find this profession both riveting and rewarding. I really enjoy life on the cutting edge, but I also enjoy being able to help staff achieve small and meaningful efficiencies; sometimes that makes all the difference.
