Brighton Students’ Union Awards winners from School of Business and Law
The School of Business and Law had lots to celebrate recently at the Brighton Students’ Union Awards 2024!
The event is a chance to recognise outstanding contributions and achievements made by both staff and students throughout the year. These awards celebrate excellence in various areas, such as teaching, support, innovation and volunteerism.
We wanted to say a huge congratulations to:
- Chantal Frindall, who is a lecturer in Law, for winning the High Quality Assessment and Feedback Award, which acknowledges the exceptional support provided to students, both personally and academically, helping them to navigate challenges and succeed
- Naomi Spence – a first-year Marketing Management student, who won the Membership Services Student Staff Member of the Year Award. This award celebrates all the outstanding contributions to the university and student union Naomi has made in a staff capacity, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to supporting their peers. She also received a nomination for Course Rep of the Year.
- Defne Yavanirmak – Business Management with Finance student and president of the E-Sports Society, who won the Society of the Year Award. This recognises an outstanding student society that has made a significant impact on campus life through its activities, events, and contributions to the community.
- Lukasz Twardowksi – also a Business Management student, who won the award for Society Event of the Year with the Bright Radio Society.
