We’re partnering with MTD Training for the sixth year in a row

Since 2018 we’ve been partnering with MTD Training to offer valuable prizes to our students. We’re delighted to announce this partnership will continue for a sixth year!

MTD Training have now gifted a total of 15 prizes to our students. These prizes include Leadership Development Training, Sales Training Courses and access to the Skillshub eLearning platform, which has more than 800 sessions of eLearning content.

These training programmes are awarded to students at our annual prize-giving ceremonies, where we celebrate the achievements of our students.

MTD’s CEO Sean McPheat said: “Teaming up with the School of Business and Law for another year is amazing! The prizes we offer really help the winners because they look great on a CV and are so helpful for future employability.

“We always receive great feedback from the prize winners too, which is fantastic!”

This year, students will be in with a chance of winning the following prizes:

1. Essential Management Skills course

Worth £595, this course is assured by the Institute of Leadership and Management.

2. Sales training course

The winner can choose from Essential Selling Skills, Account Management, or Sales Management. Each course is worth £495 and accredited by the Institute of Sales Management.

3. A 12-month subscription to Skillhub’s learning platform

MTD’s sister company’s online platform has around 800 courses that the winning student can access over the course of the year.

Free resources to students

The team at MTD have very kindly offered some free resources to School of Business and Law students to try out.

• Leadership Assessment Test
  Answer 96 questions on leadership and management and receive a personalised report on the findings along with tips and techniques on how to improve.

• Conflict Management Styles Quiz
  How do you handle conflict? Answer 15 questions to find out! You’ll receive a report along with tips to make future improvements to your conflict management skills.
• Coaching Skills Assessment
  Are you a good coach? Answer 36 questions on how you coach and find out.
• Project Management Skills Assessment
  Do you lead projects with authority? Or do they just evolve? Answer 36 questions and use the results as a benchmark to make future improvements.
• Emotional Intelligence Test
  Assess your levels of emotional intelligence. Answer 50 questions and find out how you rate across self-awareness, self-regulation, motivating self, social skills and your levels of empathy.
• Wellbeing at Work Survey
  A useful assessment to take if you’re working part-time or when you have a full-time job for the first time.
• Sales Assessment Tests
  A variety of assessments that you can take to evaluate your selling skills and competencies.
• Wheel of Life ® Assessment
  Assess your life’s wheel balance and gain practical insights for your personal growth and development.
