Celebrating one year of Help to Grow: Management at the University of Brighton

Happy Birthday Help to Grow: Management!

It’s been one year since our first cohort of SME (small and medium enterprise) business leaders graduated from our Help to Grow: Management programme, and we’ve just celebrated our fifth cohort graduating. The numbers tell of a success story for the programme and the businesses that have grown with us.

Help to Grow: Management is a 90% Government funded 12-week programme for SME business decision makers. It’s designed to boost leadership skills and business performance with participants developing a bespoke growth action plan for their business.

The programme is proving a success, with thousands of businesses throughout the UK being supported. Nearly 100 SME business leaders have taken the programme with the University of Brighton in the last year.

These businesses come from all sectors – ranging from construction to a glamping site, and from a mobile cocktail bar to a dental practice.

Having graduated last month, Helen Snellgrove from Property Select Ltd commented: “The course has been so helpful. It has given me the time and permission to focus on the business.

“We have already started making changes by embracing digital technology more and looking at our structure to make sure it supports our objectives. I feel like I am enjoying work a lot more and not feeling overwhelmed. I absolutely recommend the Help to Grow: Management programme it has been incredibly useful.”

Help to Grow: Management at the University of Brighton owes a big thank you to all the local chambers of commerce and business associations that have supported us along the way.

Looking forward to future cohorts, the September programmes in Crawley and Brighton are already full and the Brighton programme starting in April is filling fast. More dates will be announced soon so please keep an eye on our Help to Grow: Management webpage.
