Student-researchers secure meeting with local MP
A group of final year Business students managed to secure a consultative meeting with Caroline Lucas M.P. as part of their research into social finance and its potential application in Brighton and Hove. This student ‘Client Group’ is one amongst 40 groups of final year students carrying out business, research and development projects for charities, public services and companies. Amir Azarbhyjan said ‘we are carrying out a number of expert interviews and we were pleased to have the chance to talk to Caroline. She is concerned about many local issues amongst them homelessness. Social finance has the potential to help improve service models in areas such as homelessness focussing resources on the best interventions and outcomes’.
The group will be producing a report on their findings for Brighton and Hove City Council.
