Business courses now accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing
The University of Brighton’s business courses have successfully gained Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accreditation meaning they have met high standards in teaching and learning. Graduates will be exempt from units counting towards CIM professional qualifications.
The CIM is the leading professional body for marketers worldwide and exists to develop the marketing profession, maintain professional standards and improve the skills of marketing practitioners.

Our CIM accredited courses are:
- Business BSc
- Business with Marketing BSc
- Business Management BSc
- Business Management with Marketing BSc
- International Business BSc
Students who have chosen the required modules will gain exemptions from the CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing and the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.
CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing
Students only need to pass two of the four units:
- Marketing Essentials (exempt)
- Assessing the Marketing Environment (exempt)
- Marketing Information & Research
- Stakeholder Marketing
CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing
Business with Marketing BSc and Business Management with Marketing BSc students will be exempt from two of the four units:
- Delivering Customer Value through Marketing (exempt)
- Project Management in Marketing (exempt)
- Marketing Planning Process
- Managing Marketing
