Guest Lecture: The Role of PR in Search Marketing
This week, students taking the Digital Marketing module attended a guest lecture delivered by Simone Stevens and Stephen Baker from Propellernet.
Simone and Stephen discussed why earned links and social shares are important, and the differences between traditional PR and digital PR. They shared some practical examples of ‘push’ tactics (proactively building links one-by-one) and ‘pull’ tactics (earning quality links with initial promotional support).
