The Arts and Humanities Research Council have made a film about the work of University of Brighton research student and lecturer Sally Sutherland which looks at the social and cultural barriers to public breastfeeding.
Sally’s research aims to observe, engage and intervene in contemporary UK public breastfeeding discourses. It focuses on gender, care, food, culture and motherhood and critically examines the role of design in relation to complex issues of sustainable development.
Sally studied our Sustainable Design MA before becoming a research student and lecturer.
