11th September

Summer is definitely feeling as if its coming to an end now and the volunteers are looking towards clearing and repairing. Fences need attention in order to keep visitors firmly on our carefully constructed pathways, its always good to remember that the wood is a wild life reserve and feet can do immeasurable damage. It has been a good summer though and the wood has been particularly beautiful all season. Fungi are popping up now – note my study in orange/red! – leaves are turning, some are falling.
