Kyla Ellis-Sloan’s presentation check-list

Kyla Ellis-Sloan in School of Applied Social Sciences has created this check list to share with students which is particularly useful for giving online presentations.

“As you come up to poster presentation day, take a look at the handy check list below to make sure you are ready to submit.

  1. Have you chosen an inequality?
  2. Have you described and applied a theoretical approach to explaining that inequality?
  3. Have you included a slide of references?
  4. Have you checked to see when your presentation is and that you have access to the Team?
  5. Have you rehearsed the timings of your presentation?
  6. Have you practised sharing your screen?
  7. Have you emailed a copy of your poster to whoever is assessing you, in case of technological issues with screen sharing?
  8. Have you submitted your poster before the 12pm deadline on the day of the presentation?  You can find the submission point in our SS430 site under ‘Assessments and Marks’ (SS430 Poster Presentations Deadline 27th January 2021)”
