Bruno De Oliveira – AFHEA PhD Researcher – expected computer literacy – The photo is part of a research project and exhibition on homelessness.
“I am a self-funded PhD student on homelessness and austerity at Brighton, and over the past years, I have explored homelessness and also volunteered and worked with homeless organisations. My interest started after a relationship breakdown where I found myself couch surfing for a while as I was studying full-time (at Brighton) and working part-time. I’d like to invite you to take part in this journey with me.
The Unframed Lives project is a collaboration between individual who experienced homelessness, artists and researchers to communicate and reflect on homelessness, austerity through photography in enacting critical reflection during the second biggest arts and culture festival in the country.
This collaborative project aims at enacting discussion, creating impactful networks, and innovative co-produced problem-solving around homelessness. We will be exploring themes such as hope and despair. We are trying to frame ways of coping and resisting through unframing dialogue and liberation.”
