Rebecca Ann Morris – MA Inclusive Arts Practice – taken at Stanmer Park by myself, 05/02/2018 as part of my Research Project – Art, Nature & the Hidden Disability, MA Inclusive Arts Practice.
I’d gone for a walk with one of my participants at the Park – we were working one-to-one this session, looking at what nature is hiding and trying to capture that with the camera. I loved the way the tree was hanging on to the wall, and instead of its roots being hidden, it’s revealing them and its fragility. The metaphor surrounding hidden disabilities and how/why we choose what we hide/reveal and considering how nature does the same was completely captured.
