Extra funding and scholarships to motivate and help you succeed

Every new academic year, the university offers a range of financial-based scholarships, grants, funding opportunities and awards courtesy of our very generous network of alumni friends and partners. This means you could qualify for extra funding to help spur you on throughout your studies and get recognised for your hardwork and creative skills on your course.

These financial incentives range from a few hundred pounds to scholarships offering to pay your course fees for three years of undergraduate study.

Find out below which funding opportunity matches your needs and make an application.

Scholarships

Your background and experiences so far give you your unique perspective. At Brighton, we believe that when different perspectives come together, brilliant new thinking happens – that is why inclusivity and diversity are so important. Our scholarships and awards seek to support students in their studies and contribute to greater education equality.

Below are just some of the many scholarship schemes available:

Student Experience Funds

A specific fund to add value to your studies and university experience. Whether you want to travel further for a specific placement, attend a conference to network and develop employability skills, buy specialist software, lab or work clothes, equipment or materials to support your course, or travel to gather data and research for your dissertation, then the Student Experience Fund has it covered.

The fund also welcomes applications to support you in participating in Brighton Students’ Union Societies and Sport Brighton teams.

We want to help all our students to seize opportunities and enjoy the fullest university experience. Simply tell us what you need to fund, how it will help your studies, grow your employability skills or help you participate in university life.
