The Big Read 2021 – meet the author event and free e-book
The Big Read is an annual campaign to encourage students to explore new literature and discover stories and writing outside their studies. This year we are honoured to feature Monique Roffey and her Costa Book Award-winning novel ‘The Mermaid of Black Conch’.
Set on an imaginary Caribbean island, this tantalising tale of disruption brought about by a beautiful stranger marries mythical elements with the piercing realism of everyday life.
We’ve managed to secure 500 free e-book copies to all students on a first come first served basis. Check your university email to get the special code which will enable you to download a copy of the e-book onto your mobile device or laptop using the Glassboxx app. Once your order is processed, you’ll be directed to download the Glassboxx app where you can login and begin reading the e-book.
