Are you a football fan who has always wanted to report from a Premier League press box?

In a competition exclusively for University of Brighton students in the final year of their degree, you will have the opportunity to cover a cup final at The Amex stadium in May. The experience will include a day behind the scenes in Brighton and Hove Albion’s press area, working alongside professionals and interviewing players and managers after the game.

• Cost: Free to enter.
• Eligibility: This competition is exclusive to University of Brighton students about to graduate in the summer of 2024. A course related to media is not a requirement. We would invite applicants from all subject disciplines.
• Process: All applicants will receive a free virtual workshop on live sports reporting (delivered by UoB staff and alumni), featuring a live exercise. The submitted reports would be reviewed, with the successful applicants winning the opportunity to experience a day in the press box to cover the Sussex Senior Cup Final at The Amex in May.
• Requirements: Attending the workshop, either virtually or in person on Wednesday 1 May from 6-9pm. Details will be shared to those who enter. In person workshops will be conducted in the Newsroom, Watts House, Moulsecoomb campus.
