Warning: Phone scammers targeting students

We have been made aware that students are being targeted by scam callers pretending to be from the University of Brighton.

These callers ask for personal details to set up an account and/or to call a phone number to provide personal details.

Please be aware these calls are not from the University and you should never provide personal details over the phone – especially information related to your bank account.

If you feel you have been the victim of scammers, please contact the police using the 101 non-emergency number as soon as you can. You can also report a crime online.
