Have your say on the future of transport in Sussex
The East Sussex County Council (ESCC) is seeking input on the proposed East Sussex Local Transport Plan (LTP4) for the years 2024–2050, and they want to hear from you before the consultation period ends on 25 February 2024.
The LTP4 outlines ESCC’s approach to planning and providing transportation services for residents, businesses, and visitors in East Sussex, both now and for future generations. The goal is to facilitate seamless daily journeys, connecting people with the places they need to go.
Key areas of focus in the strategy include:
- Ensuring safer and more accessible journeys.
- Creating healthier environments that promote well-being.
- Decarbonizing transportation to meet net zero targets by 2050.
- Maintaining and strengthening resilient transport networks.
- Supporting a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable economy in coastal towns, market towns, and rural villages.
You can access the LTP Strategy, Implementation Plan, and supporting documents on the County Council’s consultation hub: East Sussex County Council Consultation Hub.
We encourage all university staff and students to participate in the consultation and share your perspectives with ESCC.
