Why choose Beryl?

Introducing Beryl Bikes, co-founded by our very own University of Brighton alum, Emily Brooke, in 2012. Emily, an avid cyclist and innovative designer, started her business enterprise with the groundbreaking Laserlight—a product that increased cyclist visibility by 32%. This remarkable achievement led to Laserlight’s integration into bike hire fleets in London, New York, and Montreal.

Beryl’s bike and scooter sharing scheme offers an eco-friendly and convenient way for students to get around town. With a fleet of well-maintained bicycles and electric scooters, students can enjoy a smooth and sustainable commute. Beryl’s user-friendly app makes it easy to locate, unlock, and ride these vehicles, providing students with a hassle-free transportation experience.

By partnering with the University of Brighton, Beryl is reinforcing its commitment to promoting sustainable transportation options and helping students save money while reducing their carbon footprint.
