My Brighton improvements coming 5 May 2023
We’re pleased to announce that the university app, My Brighton will undergo some minor changes based on your feedback, which we’ve collected since February. We thank all students who took time to share their thoughts with us: “Your Voice Shapes Our University.”
Your feedback told us that some services were not easy to find on the app, so we’ve added new tiles to the Home dashboard for Unicard and StudentView services. We’ve also refreshed the Student Life dashboard, where you’ll find the latest events, blog feeds, and links back to the Students’ Union, societies, and Sport Brighton.
In terms of support, we’ve added a new tile where you can report a security concern, providing your contact details to our security team. And for your studies, we’ve not only revised the Studies dashboard layout but also added our Exam help resources. For Library and IT services, you can now book a group study room direct, and the Book a PC now links directly to the correct service.
We hope these changes will make your experience with the university app even better. We’ll be updating the app this Friday (5 May) at 2pm with an estimated completion time of 4:30pm. During this time, some users may experience some very minor functionality issues whilst changes are going through. As always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions to continue improving the app.
If you are experiencing any technical issues connecting to services like email, timetable or My Studies then please contact the Service Desk.
Coming soon
We’re also looking at a new dashboard for PG research students so they can access the Doctoral College SharePoint site and the PhD Manager site a well access to their school’s site and feed.
Finally, with exciting new brand colours incoming for summer, we’re hoping to improve My Brighton even further with a makeover.
