Interested in volunteering or being mentored?
As part of Student Volunteering Week, we’ve organised some online events which could potentially help your academic journey and future career.
Mentoring
Mentoring is common in many workplaces as it can help people to reach their potential and explore the things they are most passionate about. We have a number of mentoring programmes that provide support to a broad range of eligible students; undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time and full-time from across the university. Some students use mentoring to help keep on track, others have a mentor to help with wellbeing and making the most out of learning remotely.
Find out more about how mentoring can provide you support throughout the academic year on Thursday 11 February, 12 – 12:30pm. No booking required, just join us via Microsoft Teams using code: 1yo8s95.
Volunteering
You can develop your employability skills, add to your CV, and make new connections by volunteering in your local community throughout your time at university. Our volunteering service, Active Student, can then help you to secure a local volunteering placement that is rewarding, safe and supported.
Find out more about how volunteering on either Thursday 11 February, 2 – 2:30pm or Wednesday 17 February, 4 – 4:30pm. No booking required, just join us via Microsoft Teams using code: 1yo8s95.
