The first crit I had ever had, not knowing what to expect at all and I had to go first! One of the worst experiences of my life of three reasons:
- I hate presenting my work to others, especially people that I have never met.
- I had no idea what to do/ say and I became extremely uncomfortable.
- I didn’t like the project because it was about ‘Self’ and being a very insecure person I did not find it a fun experience.
The problem that I have is that I am not good at verbally explaining my ideas or reasonings behind what I have done. I always write notes about my work so I am able to keep on track and not to become confused. However, because I was so nervous I forgot to get my notes out of my bag so I felt like I was rambling and didn’t explain what I was trying to achieve with my piece of work.
