Rebekah Talukder is currently a MRes Biomedical Sciences student at the UoB. She has previously completed her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences (BSc) where her final project, under the supervision of Professor Richard Faragher, investigated the protective effects of Resveratrol on equine tenocytes exposed to steroid-induced damage. Alongside ageing, Rebekah’s interests also lie in the interdisciplinary field of ecotoxicology. This is reflected by her current research project examining the impact of marine contaminants on the reproductive success of Mytilus edulis. This work will contribute to RedPol project and is supervised by Dr Corina Ciocan and Dr Wulan Koagouw.
