Some developments lately…

Hello again.. As you already know from our intern student Amy (read it here), we have done the second and third batches of exposures. This time, I will only update you with the exposure design. In the second batch, we exposed mussels to two concentrations of thiram and one concentration of galaxolide, and the experiment was set out as shown in Figure 1.

Meanwhile in the third batch, the mussels were exposed to triphenyl phosphate, homosalate and dexmedetomidine hydrochloride, and Figure 2 shows the experimental design.

After these two batches of exposures, as you may guess, we have lots of samples to process! We have started the histopathology of mussels’ gonads, and aim to finish it in December, with the observation and data analysis to take place in January 2022. The transcriptomics analyses will also commence in January, and we will update you later on this development.
