Feedback for students will involve the following:
- Named marker and date marked
- Named moderator and date moderated
- Reference to how well according to the university marking criteria the student achieved each learning outcome
- 3 strengths of the students work
- 3 areas for improvement including HOW to improve
- Rationale for the mark using the university marking criteria
- Rubric to provide a visual rationale for the mark (electronic submission only)
- Quickmarks to highlight key areas of strength or limitations in the work (electronic submission only)
Examples of best practice:
- structure feedback around how to improve the work
- develop activities that encourage students to understand their feedback and how to implement it e.g. use of transition weeks
- engage students with their feedback before getting their mark
- maintain a 2-way dialogue between student and marker
