Over the past year, more technologies have become available at the University of Brighton that can be used to support simulation and scenario-based learning. These include, but are not limited to, 360 photo/video; interactive video; virtual reality headsets; augmented reality; H5P learning object building tool; Microsoft forms; and forthcoming developments coming to the learning widget tool in Student Central. As Learning Technologists, the team has been working to test and explore these media and would like an opportunity to meet with academics and technicians to consider how these tools may be used in schools.
SIM Day will take place in an afternoon at the Explore Studio (Checkland D132) and is a chance to get together informally to look at these technologies. The team aims to use the time to provide demos, give you the chance to try things out, and also to discuss the potential of these technologies as a group. The SIM Day will go for three hours each session proposed above.
