Sussex Youth Stop AIDS Society have got a really exciting event coming up towards the end of next month and we were hoping you might be able to come along and support us in getting the word out! This is Youth Stop AIDS’s biggest annual event, bringing young people’s stories of living with HIV, right to your ears.
Last year people were moved to tears and laughter as their powerful stories weaved between humour, positivity and emotionally hard-hitting experiences, such as being humiliated at school or suffering violent schizophrenic delusions.
This year we are joined by five young speakers from the UK, Uganda, South Africa and Congo each with their own unique perspective on what it’s like to live with HIV. From a British-Congolese Beauty Queen to a participant on Channel 4’s First Dates, who took action after he was forced to disclose his status – the tour promises to give a platform to so many inspirational stories. You can find out about some of the speakers here!
