Our MSc Health Promotion is fortunate in having the Forward Bound scholarship for students from low/low-middle income countries attached to the course. There is an opportunity to work for the Brighton & Hove Food Partnership on an international programme EdiCitNet. This cross-sector partnership is exploring sustainable methods of urban food production, distribution and consumption (known by the programme as Edible City Solutions) and sharing information on how these Edible City Solutions can achieve environmental and social outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant team of academics who are dedicated to the learning and teaching of Health Promotion students. 

The role will include undertaking the teaching and learning activity relating to the MSc Health Promotion programme as well as teaching and learning sessions relating to health promotion on our undergraduate programmes. There will also be engagement of learning and teaching across wider programmes in the School of Health Sciences depending on the experience of the post holder (e.g. BSc. Nutrition, Bsc. Public Health).

This role will engage a diverse range of service users across the UK, to listen to their views on how Terrence Higgins Trust services should develop, pilot projects to test this and to facilitate how they can actively participate in these future developments. You will: • Test innovative approaches with users to keep our work fresh and relevant, shaping how we work and what we do. • Develop and implement digital activity to support the programme • Actively work with users and colleagues to promote meaningful engagement with the programme The nature of this programme is exploratory and so you will be comfortable with working in a fluid environment. This role will cover the South & Home Counties region with a focus on our Brighton, Hove and West Sussex services. The base of the role can be discussed in more detail at interview. New Academic Year – new blog activity


This blog has been a bit sleepy for a while, but with the new academic year starting and everything being delivered online in Semester ONe, it seems a good time to reactivate this blog.

Looking forward to starting with the Principles of Health Promotion and Behaviour Change module tomorrow. We have two new guest speakers; Professor Suzanne Jackson from University of Toronoto  and Jeff French from Strategic Social Marketing looking at some COVID related issues.

The Association for Young People’s Health (AYPH) is delighted to be advertising this new year three year full time post funded by the Heath Foundation (HF) to focus on the health inequalities affecting young people.  
The job offers a unique opportunity to bring together research, policy and practice in order to advocate for more attention to disparities in young people’s health outcomes.  The post holder will be responsible for an exciting programme of activities, spearheading a new movement to get the issue on policy agendas and to the attention of front line practitioners.   The Fellow will be based at AYPH in Borough, and will work alongside four other similar policy fellows (in other organisations), the Health Foundation, and senior AYPH staff, in order to improve outcomes for young people.
