Sport Coaching graduates – where are they now?

The University of Brighton prides itself on the employability of our students and we make sure they graduate with confidence and ready for work. Work placements are just one of the ways we do this – they not only provide invaluable hands-on experience but many students are offered permanent jobs by the company they’ve spend their placement with. 

World’s largest underground skate park provides student opportunities

A disused Victorian swimming bath complex has been turned into the world’s largest underground skate park – with help from the University of Brighton. Students get creative with alternative PE

PE, sport and exercise science, sport studies and sport coaching students presented and experienced a range of eclectic and innovative physical activities as part of their Level 5 assessment in alternative activities. Presentations included Mission Impossible, Aquatic Wipe-out, The Cube, QR Code climbing and Aqua-Cross.

Sport Coaching graduate tours Brazil with Corinthian-Casuals

Danny Bracken studied Sport Coaching BSc(Hons) at the University of Brighton and graduated in 2013. He currently teaches at a private school outside of London and continues to play football for Corinthian-Casuals, something he started whilst studying at Brighton.

Sport Coaching and Development Top-up Degree Success

Once again the graduates on the Sport Coaching and Development Top-up BA(Hons) degree are celebrating; 68% gained degrees at 2:1 or above and 20% gained firsts in 2014.

Opportunities for sport coaching students at new Cricket Academy

Hailsham Community College has opened a new Cricket Academy which will provide opportunites for talented young cricketers. The new academy has also given University of Brighton Sport Coaching BSc(Hons) students, Jamie Mann and Jack Hyde, a coaching opportunity with specialist input from SkillzCricket Academy at their indoor school.
