Course leader supporting Sussex Cricket talent identification
James Wallis, course leader for Sport Coaching BSc(Hons) has taken on a new role supporting Sussex Cricket in talent identification and coach education.
James is working with Sussex County Cricket Club coaches to develop a new approach to talent identification across the County as well as designing coaching education workshops for club and county coaches to enhance the impact of their coaching.
The work has been ongoing for six months and has now been confirmed to continue throughout 2015.
Sport coaching students will be given the opportunity to assist and observe county coaches in some of the cricket development programmes run by Sussex Cricket, particularly around their work in schools such as Chance to Shine which is helping to keep cricket alive.
