INSPIRATION FROM TRENDS

Recently, there has been a huge increase in the popularity of patchwork clothing, especially during the 2020 pandemic. I have researched into popular content creators amongst Instagram and TikTok and found that their influence amongst their following has resulted in the rise of purchases from items of clothing they purchase.

The recent popularity of patchwork clothing has encouraged people to create their own clothing, especially through patchwork. However, not everybody has the skills or materials to be able to complete this, so at Ecosew our project is to be able to create this for the customer and be able to sell at a low, affordable price so the consumer is able to also follow on the trends.

Furthermore, I have been inspired from modern day fashion which has become an essential within almost everybody’s wardrobe. The recent rage within cargo trousers has been heavily populated by a much younger generation, where it has been a large target for the older generation for quite some time before this, e.g. 90s/early 00s fashion.

This inspired me to create utilitarian inspired cargos, skirts and essentials such as long sleeve t-shirts and layering tops.

Ecosew is always researching into current trends to ensure the customer is not only getting a long-lasting product, but also a product that is not hugely outdated and is up to standard with todays modern fashion.
