Natasha and I created 3 concept boards to capture are ideas for our disrupted fantasy themed project. The first board is displaying our ideas for the photography element to the brief. It captures our inspiration from various established photographers, such as Steven Meisel as well as some of our illustrations, which are going to be part of our final outcome when we begin to create our magazine layout. The following board depicts our styling ideas through a variety of textures, which we feel makes the board visually engaging. We’ve incorporated various fabrics such as faux fur and leather, netting and suedette. Alongside, these features, which are for the styling aspect, we have also included makeup and hair stylists/ artists. We will use these as inspiration for when we begin to experiment in preparation for our shoots. The final board is capturing our additional inspirations, predominantly film, book, costumes and places. For instance, we’ve placed fantasy film covers, such as ‘into the woods’ on there because we feel they relate as well as being fairly current today. In contrast, we have decided to include dismaland as an effective and appropriate juxtaposition. We felt this links suitably with or theme as we aren’t looking at the pleasant associations we have of fantasy.
